Jenna Dahms, LSCSW
I am a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker. I received my bachelor’s degree in social work from Kansas State University and my masters degree in social work from the University of Kansas. I have been a licensed social worker since 2016 and have worked in child welfare and the school setting prior to private practice.
I enjoy working with children and teens ages 3 to 18. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, adoption/foster care, behavioral issues, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and life changes. I value partnering with caregivers to find effective and practical ways to support their children.
I have specialized training in play therapy but use a variety of other approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), filial therapy (parent/child), Sandtray therapy and solutions-focused therapy.
I strive to provide a safe and supportive environment for children and their families to navigate life’s challenges, cope with big feelings, and create change.
In my free time I enjoy being with family and friends, traveling, doing arts and crafts, and watching football.
